Art Makes Lives Better (21/64)

Notes

Austin Wright was born in Chester and grew up in Wales. After studying in Oxford, he moved to York and lived there for over fifty years, undisturbed by the social art scene in London. He became interested in sculpture in his twenties and pursued this as a full-time career from the mid-sixties. Austin's work refers to the world around us and invite to contemplation. During his life he produced many drawings that supplement his sculptures and provide an insight into his mental process as an artist, observing and creating natural shapes.

Artwork in good condition. Sold framed.
