Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
Lucy’s collection of postcards weave domesticity and the comfort of home, childhood rituals and the privilege of growing up.
Under the same moon I & II are pieces drawn from Lucy’s recent artist residency at Casa Balandra. Etched into the paint and bedsheets/sea are goodnight wishes in the different languages from friends made during the residency - Spanish, Ukrainian, Farsi, Swedish, Danish, Turkish and English.
