Notes

Maia Magoga (b.1994) is a London-born visual artist and cook. Oscillating in between realms of ecologies~knowledge(s)~and ritual, her practice foregrounds the boundless potential of food as metaphor to address conversations around ecology, the geo-political and ancestral ways of knowing. She works with food as both subject and object

Selected Exhibitions: Mud, Turf and Steel, Collective Ending (2021); Solstice Spectrum, New St.Ives School (2021); Beneath Our Feet, Hockney Gallery (2019); A Traditional Evening of Pleasure, Maxilla Social Club (2019). Magoga is the recipient of the Gordan Peter Pickard Research Grant.
