Notes

This painting describes the buzzing emerald and vivid blues of a bright spring day. The shapes are almost flattened and naive.

When Alex first started working on wood, her earliest iterations of surfaces were on marine ply. This painting is heavy. She has managed to reduce the weight of her paintings by 80% in subsequent years by commissioning surfaces from Artist Surfaces.
