02 JUNE 2023 - 23 JUNE 2023Notes
Paris 68 Redux began as a project to reframe and represent artwork from the Paris 1968 student uprising, highlighting its continued relevance and the work still to be done in creating a more equitable society. Utilising appropriated imagery, text, and memorabilia such as vintage newspapers, Paris 68 Redux are able to distil the energy and urgency of the original protests through their print-based practice.
Miles Glyn is one of the team that created the Visual and Communication Identity of EXTINCTION REBELLION. Miles created all the imagery using Drawing and Lino-cuts. Hand printing with these images and hand carved word blocks to create the original aesthetic. Miles made and/or oversaw the making of all the handmade assets during this initial period, this all happened in his house which became the original "Art Factory". Miles illustrated the XR Handbook "This Is Not A Drill" , and wrote a guide to creating the "Art Factory". Miles continues to draw, create and support other makers and designers in EXTINCTION REBELLION and beyond . . . . . . .
