This work is part of Sorenson's studio series entitled Zombie Capitalism, an undead economic system blindly following a logic of accumulation and waste determined on the short term gain of a few rather than the well-being of many.
Born in Los Angeles, Oli Sorenson came to prominence with his residency at London’s British Film Institute (2008-10). Earlier contributions include ZKM (Karlsruhe, 2002), ISEA (Helsinki, 2004) and recent shows at FILE (Sao Paulo, 2015), Monitoring (Kassel, 2017) and Climate Art (Berlin, 2023).
