"Extending the language of abstraction, my practice focuses on making through the development of experimental machinery and production methods to manipulate the core ingredients and structures associated with the traditions of painting. Through this method of painting, I seek to remove the artist from the gesture and emotion of painting, reframing our relationship with this medium.

Orderly, planned, mathematical systems form the framework of my work, but I think of painting as an event - one that is as much concerned with the process of its emergence as it is with the final outcome.
