Notes
Jane Peacock is a painter and printmaker who works primarily in linocut and collage. After her painting degree she moved away from London; her rural setting in the Chilterns Hills is now intrinsic to her work.
Jane makes prints, collages, and paintings that reference the marks left on earth by the human journey through the natural environment. Her abstracted landscapes offer an arial view of our pathways - invisible, hidden, or tangible tracks. This imagined, flawed cartography reflects historical human activity which has impacted the landscape; drawings of ancestral behaviour revealed and made visible over stretches of time.
