Notes

Nadia Attura, a Postgraduate in Photojournalism from The London College of Printing, was selected for The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2016 where all 75 editions of her work sold out. Her work was again shortlisted for the 2018 Summer Exhibition and features in prominent residential and public projects internationally.

Nadia collects photographed details; the patina aged on stone, rhythmic distortions on water, shadows drawn by trees. It is these small details that help her tell the bigger story. Using layered photographs she often develops her works with washes, paint, chalk and ink, transforming the original photographic depiction into more painterly interpretations of the world.

Composition Green captures architectural stone steps leading into the Indian ocean off the shores of Southern Africa. The artist has added paint and chalk to the main blocks of colour, leaving only the adjoining lines photographic and sharp, ultimately adding to the overall graphic composition of the piece.
