Studio Sale | Andrew Hardy (14/27)

Notes

One of a pair of large works titled Locked I and II.
Part of a series made in 2020 incorporating materials such as rust, mud and graphite paste.

Andrew says of his work, "I try to make paintings that draw viewers in, to question and enjoy their materiality. I don’t feel a need to paint scenes, situations or likenesses of people. The works don't usually have any meaning although I do aim for them to be meaningful… which is a different thing.”
