Notes

“A unique silk screen print on aluminium. The piece is the word Us manipulated in to a lemniscate, the symbol to represent infinity. Us, forever. It’s clear to me that more is achieved and the best of humanity is realised when we come together.”

"Protectionism, isolation and selfishness is a dead end street. The Big Issue is a publication I buy, endorse and support. Their function to help by offering a hand up to those in need is a symbol of what society needs more of." - Gary Stranger, 2020.

Gary Stranger is a UK based artist who started out writing graffiti in 1996. He is now a world renowned artist, famed for his well executed typographic pieces. Over the past decade or so Gary has moved his wall paintings away from the traditional graffiti aesthetic. Having always had a passion for type and having studied in the subject, it was the inevitable conclusion to take his own work in that direction.

His studio work and his wall paintings consist of hand drawn and painted typographic arrangements, attempting to communicating the artist's sentiment on a particular subject.
