England in the Distance was created as a snapshot of a hot summer day in Surrey, from the top of Box Hill. Georgia Hart was so encouraged by feeling of the calm felt while overlooking England’s verdant fields that she felt compelled to paint it.

Georgia Hart is a British Canadian artist working mostly in oil in her signature palette knife style. Georgia brings depth and a sense of space and distance to even her smallest landscapes, using the knife to create thick peaks of paint.

Georgia is self taught and creates landscapes that are clean and textured in a cool and refined palette.
