James Faure Walker (b.1948) studied at Saint Martin's (1966–1970) and the Royal College of Art, RCA (1970–1972). Recent solo shows include ARB, Cambridge, Class Room, Coventry, and Felix and Spear, London. He has exhibited at the Hayward Annual (1979), John Moores (1982 & 2002), Serpentine Summer Show (1983), and had a solo show at the Whitworth, Manchester (1985). He was a founding editor of Artscribe magazine in 1976, editing it for eight years. His Painting the Digital River of 2006 (Prentice Hall, USA) won a New England Book Show Award. He has 13 works in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
