With a heavy focus on surface painting and texture, my vivid ceramics evolve via collage and drawing, exploring themes around environment, humans and urban nature through intricate surface stories on clay. I layer colours, textures, vivid slips, and glazes using a range of coloured clays as a dynamic canvas. My vessels portray in essence my experience of living in the city and that city being its own ecosystem, that ecosystem beautiful due to the unique humans, nature and landscape from which it is formed.
