A Studio Sale of works of art direct from the studio of artist Poppy Fuller Abbott.
Timed Auction Ends: 23 June 12pm (BST)
Poppy is a weaver and dyer, and is one of the Toast New Makers 2023. Her practice focuses on consciously sourced materials; sustainable yarns, and natural dyes, some of which are grown locally or foraged.
Working with plants is an integral part of her process; the results embodying the natural world. Her fabrics are dyed using resist or dipping techniques, and then hand-woven, before being hand-finished and shaped or stitched into the final form. Poppy has recently created a collection sold at Ditchling Museum inspired by their current exhibit on Shoji Hamada and the Mingei movement in Japan.
