Heather Gabel is a non binary half Egyptian artist, mother, and singer of the Chicago based experimental duo Hide. Their work includes collages, experimental films, and poetry confronting both the interior and exterior horrors of daily life with a focus on power dynamics and identity.

‘Holy Mother / Sacred Whore’ features lyrics from the song ‘Loaded’ off the Hole album ‘Pretty on the Inside’ and is a nod to both the album’s insert art as well as an homage to the divine holiness and healing capacity of sex work.
