Frea Buckler was born in Cambridge in 1974 and studied at Central Saint Martin’s College and the UWE in Bristol, where she continues to live and work. She has exhibited internationally in New York, Dublin, Denver and Berlin and widely in the UK including being selected four times for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and two solo shows with Smithson Gallery at Jealous Gallery London. She has worked on commissions for Facebook, London, Charing Cross Hospital, Fora Space and Ginkgo Projects. 

Buckler is a multidisciplinary artist applying her visual language of hard-edged abstraction to screenprint, sculpture and installation. Central to her practice is the interplay between the conscious and subconscious, balancing both reason and intuition to create lively one-off works made up of deeply saturated geometric forms.
