Notes

Painted from memory, Glow is an attempt to record the often intense and constantly changing colours in the sky at sunset.

The artist Eva Ullrich, views her work as "a record" of something we have all experienced. She achieves this combination of layered mark making using brushes, squeegees and sponges.

Eva is a landscape artist interested in natural phenomena who's work leans towards abstraction. Born in the Lake District, she studied painting at The Glasgow School of Art and spent her time there exploring the Scottish landscape. This experience of landscape has always been a starting point for her work.

Recently Eva has gained inspiration from numerous research trips to remote locations in the arctic and the very particular qualities of light that occur there.
