Notes

In this photograph, an abstract yellow painting acts as surface onto which viewers are encouraged to project their identity, persona and even image, and so transforming the surreal scene into their own self-portrait.

Portraits of A Yellow Painting is from a series of 'landscape collage' photographs taken by the London based artist Gilbert Leung. The painting was photographed in different locations to playfully explore how colour and shape could interact with different places.

Gilbert Leung is a multidisciplinary artist working with paintings, digital collages, photographs and architecture.
