Notes

In Conversation shows a group of trees communing on a coastal hillside.

London based artist, Sammi Lynch creates work doused in earthy pastel smudges and silky-smooth textures, that are all about summoning a sense of place and memory. Favouring soft pastels and pencil drawing, combined with a striking use of colour, Sammi gives viewers an immersive window into her imagination.

Growing up in the North West of England was formative to her style, she is inspired by nature and rolling landscapes which is reflected in her drawings, paintings and ceramics. Another key theme lies in the people she surrounds herself with, finding comfort and inspiration in drawing those closest to her. Sammi is currently studying at The Drawing Year – a scholarship program at The Royal Drawing School.
