“I stopped making artwork about 10 years ago to focus on my curating career, but during lockdown decided to get my paints out again and found the process of making very meditative and peaceful. It helped me maintain my mental health during a strange and difficult time, and has now become a part of my ongoing creative practice. I make little meditative paintings in the spaces of time between things. I start with a colour and let the materials and the movement of my hand guide where the painting goes and what it becomes.
