Gestural movements from right to left and back again, emulate the westerly direction of travel that Zanny took on a journey made through Iceland a few years back. The painting is a gestural mapping of the continual westward movement the artist made every day, staying on the west coast every night to chase the daylight hours of near arctic summer sun.
